1.     WHAT IS COVERED?

a.      Gear One Automotive Technology warrants its remanufactured automatic transmissions and torque converters to be free of faulty workmanship or material failure.

b.      If Gear One Automotive Technology does not install the transmission, Gear One Automotive Technology must inspect the vehicle for proper installation of the automatic transmission and/or torque converter within 7 days of installation.

c.      If the transmission or torque converter appears to have failed, the vehicle should be returned, at owners expense, to Gear One Automotive Technology, for inspection of installation.

d.      Regardless of warranty status, if Gear One Automotive Technology did not install the transmission, Gear One Automotive Technology will not be responsible for the removal and replacement of the warranted transmission. The removal and replacement of the transmission is at the owners expense.

2.     LIMITATIONS

a.      Repair or replacement during the warranty period does not extend the life of the warranty.

b.      The warranty will be void under any of the following circumstances:

                                                              i.      Damage to the transmission caused by fire, electrical system problems or failure of any other vehicle part including PCM (brain).

                                                            ii.      Improper installation including failure to flush and flow-test radiator cooler, correctly adjust linkages, cables, switches, etc

                                                          iii.      Damage resulting from overheating due to lack of lubrication or a non-functional cooling system. Proper oil levels must be maintained at all times. 

                                                          iv.      Failure to install cooler to our specifications, if stated on original invoice.

                                                            v.      Damage caused by water, antifreeze or any other chemical or foreign matter in transmission.

                                                          vi.      Damage caused by overheating of the vehicle. Overdrive/5^th gear is only for highway use (non-towing), NOT for in-town driving.

                                                        vii.      Damage caused by abuse such as, but not limited to, racing, extreme four-wheel activities, towing loads that exceed the manufacturers recommendation or overloading the vehicle.

                                                      viii.      Casualty loss, accident damage or act of nature.

c.      Failure to have installation of transmission and/or torque converter inspected by Gear One Automotive Technology within 7 days of installation will void all warranties.

d.      This warranty does not cover consequential damage, loss of use, loss of earnings, per diem expenses, car rentals, towing, unauthorized repairs or any other claims of any nature whatsoever.

e.      Obligations assumed under the Gear One Automotive Technology warranty are as specifically stated, and are in lieu of all other obligations, warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied. Any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness will be limited to the duration of the warranty.

f.                   PASSENGER CARS, NON-COMMERCIAL VEHICLES AND LIGHT TRUCKS: Warranty repair or replacement 12 months/12,000 miles, unless otherwise stated on original invoice.

g.      PICK-UPS, VANS, 4X4s, LIFTED 4x4s, HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS, BUSES, COMMERCIAL VEHICLES AND TAXIS: Warranty repair or replacement 6 months/6,000 miles, unless otherwise stated on original invoice.
